Go see the Eclipse and take a kid with you

http://goseetheeclipse.com/

Chap Percival gave a lecture at my Club's Yearly OBS star party this year on the 2017 Solar Eclipse, and his web site gives a lot of information on viewing the Eclipse.

I plan on viewing it from Blairsville GA while on vacation this Summer. http://www.eclipse2017.org/2017/communities/states/GA/Blairsville_2.htm  Blarisville GA is in the path of total eclipse.

Where will you be?

Ron

I have reservations in Columbia, MO.  I'm really looking forward to it as it will be the first total solar eclipse I've ever seen.  Another total solar eclipse will come very close to near where I live in Texas in 2024, so I hope to take my experiences from this one and apply it that one.  My new mantra is clear skies, clear skies...

I'll be in Rigby, Idaho.
I'm hoping to broadcast the eclipse via our clubs Facebook Live page.
Las Vegas Astronomical Society

Tune in and watch it if your weather is bad.  Actually, you can watch my feed live before it even reaches the east coast area.
